Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Abbott Library, the Museum Pass Program enables patrons to visit New England attractions. It’s a great way for friends and family to be lifelong learners by visiting places that provide culture, history and other opportunities to learn.
These passes must be picked up at the library and can be checked out on a first-come, first-served basis up to one day in advance of your museum visit.
The Friends will reimburse a portion of admission charges to any museum in New England.
Please see the Reimbursement Form for details.
Who may use a museum pass or get a reimbursement?
Anyone who has a valid library card from the Abbott Library may use these services.
How do I borrow a museum pass?
Museum passes can be borrowed on a first-come, first-served basis. The loan period for a museum pass is three days and passes cannot be renewed
Museum passes can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Some passes may have a very small fee associated with them, but the majority are free to access. Replacement fees will be charged in the event of a lost pass.
Please return museum passes to the Circulation Desk, and not in our after-hours drop box.
How does reimbursement work?
Reimbursement is limited to $35.00 (not to exceed the admission fees) per museum visit per family. Families may use the reimbursement program twice a year.
Families may obtain a reimbursement form here or at the Circulation Desk. Fill out the form completely and ensure that your admission receipt is attached.
Return the form and receipt to the Circulation Desk or by mailing to the Friends of the Abbott Library at:
Friends of the Abbott Library
PO Box 314
Sunapee, NH 03782
The Friends of the Abbott Library will mail a check to the name and address provided on the form.
May I use a museum pass and reimbursement for the same visit?
Yes, if your family’s visit is not fully covered by the museum pass, you may submit a Reimbursement Form for the out-of-pocket admission expenses.
