Jeff Cabral
Library Director
Jeff has worked in public libraries for about 20 years in a variety of locations, including New Zealand, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and most recently Maine. He is originally from Massachusetts, and earned his Master of Library and Information Studies while living in New Zealand, after an early career in marketing.
In his spare time, he enjoys acting in community and professional theater, and still has performing in a murder mystery dinner theater (and maybe even a musical) on his acting ‘bucket list’. When not on stage or backstage, he enjoys attending live theater and improv comedy. Time at home is spent being a cat dad, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, and reading across different genres, most commonly thrillers or fantasy.
Kyler Wesner
Assistant Director
Kyler moved back to New England from Colorado with his wife and dog. He has a B.A. in History from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.A. in Public History from Central Connecticut State University. Kyler started his library career as a library page at Douglas County Public Library in Colorado and is coming from Jefferson County Public Library where he was the Teen Librarian.
In his spare time he loves going for hikes with his wife and dog, playing board games or video games, and is a big football fan. He loves reading horror and fantasy books.
Molly DiPadova
Youth Services Librarian
Molly is a Sullivan County native. She grew up right next door in Newport, NH where she worked as the Teen Services Librarian at the Richards Free Library while getting her MLIS.
She lives in Claremont, NH with her partner and their three cats. Molly loves spending time swimming, playing board games and video games, and of course reading lots and lots of children’s books.
Laura Kennedy
Adult Services Librarian
Some of you may recognize Laura, as she worked at the Abbott Library as a Library Aide Substitute from 2013-2016 while getting her MLIS, before becoming the Assistant Director at the Newbury Public Library for seven years. She took a year-long break to be a stay-at-home mom to her two boys, before returning to Abbott at the start of 2024.
Laura grew up in Derry, NH, but has called Sunapee her home since 2010. In her spare time (is there such a thing with toddlers?), Laura enjoys cooking and watching movies – her favorite of which is Back to the Future.
Terri Rounds
Circulation Librarian
Terri Rounds is the Circulation Librarian at Abbott Library. Terri is responsible for Interlibrary loans, cataloging new materials, selection and purchasing of audiobooks, and various other materials. Terri has a strong customer service ethos. She considers patron satisfaction and a positive library experience for both new and existing patrons an important cornerstone of Abbott Library.
When Terri is not working, she lives a quiet life with her partner Lynn and two rescue dogs Auggi and Finn. She is also enjoying learning how to play the handpan, a percussion instrument that resembles a UFO.
Ruane Miller
Library Aide
Ruane is a retired teacher and school librarian. She can be found at the Circulation Desk, teaching flower arranging classes at the library and helping out in a variety of ways to make Abbott Library the best!
David Sandberg
Library Aide
David Sandberg has worked at the Biomedical Libraries at Dartmouth College since 2004. David started working at the Abbott Library for weekend coverage in 2022. He lives in Sunapee and enjoys collecting museum guidebooks.
Alex Grout
Library Aide Substitute
A former middle school teacher from Lee, NH, Alex retired several years ago and moved to Sunapee. She was the Abbott Library’s Children’s Aide responsible for ordering picture books, making take home craft kits, and doing Story Time. We are happy she has chosen to continue with us as a substitute.
In her spare time, Alex loves hiking, playing board games, reading historical fiction, and is a huge Celtics basketball fan. A history lover, Alex is an Anglophile (especially all things Victorian), has been a docent at Billings Farm in Woodstock, VT, and collects period costumes.
Barbara Fitzgerald
Library Aide Substitute
Barbara brings much knowledge from her former job as a librarian in Massachusetts. The Abbott Library was fortunate to benefit from her well-rounded expertise and masterful collection development skills for several years while she worked as a Library Aide, and we are thankful for her continued presence as a substitute.
Brian Gebo
Custodian
Brian is the unseen hero of the library staff! He works during the library’s closed hours to keep the building looking clean and neat. One of his favorite movies is Hacksaw Ridge.
