Please fill out our Card Application, and bring it with you to the Abbott Library with an ID and proof of residency. If you work or attend school in Sunapee, we will accept School ID, report card, or pay stub, as proof.

How do I get a non-resident card?

If you are not eligible for a free card, you may register for a non-resident card at the cost of $40 for a full year. Fill out the application and check “Non-Resident” on the sheet. We take payment in the form of cash or check.

Can I apply online, through the phone, or via email?

No, all library card applications must be done in person per our circulation policy.

What is my PIN number?

Your PIN number is usually the last four digits of your phone number.

Do library cards expire?

You’ll need to renew your library card every year so the library can confirm your address and contact information. You must come in person to the library to with your proof of residency and ID.

Who can use my library card?

Cardholders must use their own library card to borrow material and are responsible for all material borrowed on their cards.
