If Abbott Library does not have an item, patrons can request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The item must be older than six months to be eligible for request. ILLs will be checked out to a patron for five weeks, and cannot be renewed. If additional time is needed, staff can request an extension from the lending library, but the decision to renew the item is at the discretion of the lending library.
Interlibrary Loan is run by the New Hampshire State Library. The NH States Library’s Interlibrary Loan catalog contains materials and information for New Hampshire libraries. Patrons are welcome to browse the catalog here: NHAIS-ILL
