
Abbott Library is here to provide tech help at the library on a drop-in basis. Staff are available every day at the Circulation Desk to provide assistance with technology-related questions. No appointment or registration is required.
Provided staff are available for a longer period of time, we are able to spend up to 15 minutes with you to answer your questions.
We are happy to help with:
- Access to Libby and Hoopla
- General help and questions about eBooks and eReaders
- Using library electronic resources
- Basic computer navigation
- Basic use of ‘apps’
- Basic cellphone use
- Basic laptop/tablet use
- General internet instruction
Unfortunately, we cannot assist with:
- Setting up brand new devices (including transfer of files from the old device to the new device)
- Repairing broken, locked, or infected devices/apps
- Repairing or restoring email accounts or email managers
- Entering sensitive information for you (e.g. credit card information, medical information, social security number, online banking, etc.)
- Keyboarding, typing, or proofreading documents
- Providing medical, legal, or business advice or opinions
