Free educational program about Lyme disease

Author Laura Piazza of Sunapee, New Hampshire, has chronic Lyme disease, a condition that changed her life, and is speaking out. Laura will give a demonstration at the Abbott Library May 11, 2017 at 6:30 pm.




We’re currently welcoming to our community our recent hire for the Assistant Director position. Paula McKinley comes to us from Alexandria, NH. She graduated from Colby Sawyer College with her B.A. and received her MLS, Master of Library Information Science with a specialty in Archives, from Simmons College. Paula has previously worked at the Newfound High School Library, New Hampton Prep Library, the Pease Public Library, the Rauner Special Collections Library, the Lamson Library, and the Granite State College library. Paula enjoys hiking, camping, reading and kayaking with her Golden retriever Winston.


The Abbott Library Trustees are pleased to announce the appointment of Melinda “Mindy” Atwood to the position of Director of the Abbott Library.
