Reading for Charity
Each page you read this summer will raise a "penny" for either CHAD (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth) or the Upper Valley Humane Society. One, 300 page book will equal a $3.00 donation. You decide which charity gets your donation.
Submit the super-easy "I read for a Good Cause" form in print or online. All you
need is your name, the book title, author and how many pages you read. The form
can be found online at www.abbottlibrary.org/read_feedback.html

What You Need to Know....
How Do I Sign Up?
Pick up a review form or an "I Read for a Good Cause" form at the library . Your first submission will count as your registration for the reading program.
What Do I Have to Do?
Read anything you want (book, magazine, newspaper) and be entered in the weekly raffle by reading a minimum of 50 pages per week. Listening to a book on CD also counts with a minimum of 50 minutes per week.
What's In It For Me?
Besides finally being able to read what you want for fun, and having a chance to win cool prizes, you can help raise tons of money for either the Upper Valley Humane Society or CHAD (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth).
Reading Raffle...
How to Enter:
You get one raffle entry for every 50 pages you read.You can get an additional raffle entry by submitting a short book review (five-sentence minimum). The more pages you read and the more reviews you write, the more raffle entries you can win! Your reviews will be added to our website. The Raffle drawings will take place on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in the library . There will be three different raffle prizes each week. You do not have to be present to win.
