1st Annual Teen Summer Reading Program! The library is holding a teen summer reading program for 6 weeks this summer starting on July 7th and ending on August 19th. The program is open to students entering grades 6-12 in the fall. There will be a a Kick Off Concert with local teens performing at Dewey Beach on July 7, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 pm. 2008 Summer Reading Program - Elementary students entering grades K-5 this fall are invited to enroll in our 2008 Summer Reading Program - G'Day for Reading. The program will run every Wednesday evening in July from 6:00-7:30 at the Methodist Church. Please stop by the library to sign-up and get your reading packet.

Trustees Meeting: The Abbott library Trustees will meet on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 6:15 p.m. in the library.

Digital Audiobooks Now Available! The Abbott Library has joined the New Hampshire Downloadable Audio Books Consortium and you will need a valid library card, access to the Internet, and free software from Overdrive Media Services in order to access the 1,700 title library of audio books. The Overdrive software is available free from the website. To begin please click on this link to the NH Dowloadable Audio Book website. The audio files are not compatible with Ipods but can be downloaded to most MP3 players. For a list of compatible MP3 players click here.
