Information
How
do I get a library card?
Anyone residing in Sunapee, permanently or temporarily may obtain
a free bar-coded borrowers card. Children age 3 and up may have
their own card. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent
or guardian's signature. Just fill out the registration card and
we will mail your borrowers card to you. Your card is required whenever
you which to check out material of any kind.
Can
I get a card if I'm not a resident?
There is an annual fee of $25.00 (per family) to register and use
Abbott Library. This entitles you to all materials and servies.
A non-resident is anyone who lives or is visiting outside the town
limits of Sunapee.
How
can I renew my materials?
All materials except one week items (music CD's, videos, magazines,
and equipment), may be renewed twice, giving a total borrowing time
of 6 weeks.
What
about reserved materials?
No. Items on a reserve list annot be renewed. Any item may be put
on a reserve list for you if you live or are staying in sunapee.
You must have a telephone in order to reserve a book so we may contact
you directly when the item is ready.
What
are the overdue fees?
Overdue items are charged 10 cents per day.
Are
there any other fines or fees?
Unwound videos will be charged $1.00, destroyed vinal pockets $.50,
destroyed video cases $1.00, and destroyed cd cases $4.50.
